Overview - after feedback from the first two academy’s this years course will be run as a training camp. We will run two sessions per day, with the experts on the camp taking the warm ups, physical preparation, rebound and fast-track sessions.
During the warm ups and physical preparation sessions, experts will focus on fundamentals and basic shaping that should be an essential part of any programme. The beauty of Coaching is that an individual can be creative to find a way to develop a skill or routine in many different ways. However, what is essential is that a consistent, well balanced programme, ensuring all of the none negotiable fundamentals, is in place. Thats where we come in!
There will be smaller bite size clinics on some essential elements, but also on areas that may be requested by candidates. These will be at the beginning or end of sessions so as not to disrupt your training.
There will be experts will be in the gym, allocated to apparatus, to offer advice and feedback and to discuss techniques or answer any questions you may have. We will also have a group of international junior gymnasts training to watch and question.
Then during the evenings there will be some lectures on judging and planning and also some interactive discussion topics, which will include competition preparation and anything else candidates may wish to explore.
During one afternoon delegates will enjoy a trip to the beach and have the option of an activity such as surfing. And there will be an opportunity to experience the nightlife on the last evening too should they wish.
This is a great opportunity to network, develop and grow in a safe fun environment for coaches and gymnasts.
